Jean Kimble

email artist Living 88 years on the Alberta and Saskatchewan prairies has taught Jean to appreciate the variety of its beauty in all its seasons. Jean started with government-sponsored art classes in the Crystal Creek Community Hall. Her first attempts were in oil and acrylic. When Jean joined The Grande Prairie Guild of Artists about 30 years ago she moved to watercolour. When busy farm life allowed Jean went cross-country skiing to see what subjects she could photograph to take home to paint. She almost hated to see spring arrive as she really liked painting winter scenes.
